"The conclusion is always the same: love is the most powerful and still the most unknown energy in the world." -Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.
Pretty much sums it up for me. Probably about as short and sweet description as you’ll find.
In this time of Valentine’s , love (as in other commercial times) is the theme. Despite the inadequancy of our words, so much has been written, spoke, sang and felt regarding this elusive but vitally important aspect of our life. We seem to spend our life desiring love, expressing love, looking for love. An aspect, it seems to me, as different as the many religions, faiths, and beliefs we have in this world.
Love can be experienced in so many forms and variations just by one person, much less the multitude of society. It’s no wonder we can’t put our finger on this energy. It is multifaceted, multicultural, and like God (or whatever/whomever your Divine Essence is) indescribable and must be experienced to even have an inkling of understanding of its dimension.
One of the best lessons I have learned from the Love, the deeper I love, the deeper the pain. But I will always chose to love deeply as thedepth of the experience is like no other in life....deeply and soulfully rewarding and well worth the effort, despite my attachment that is the resulting pain. Loving, to me, has been the true essence of living. It IS what makes life worth living whether the Love is for myself (now that's a hard one!) or others.
Even to our dying day, we are forever learning to grasp Love's meaning and lessons.
